Greg and Natosha met at their workplace, Arby's, in June of 2001... listen to how it all started!
The first time I laid my eyes on Greg, I thought he was a really goofy guy. He introduced himself as Cookie and I noticed that his name tag read, "Chocolate Chip Cooke"! I asked, "Cookie?" to which he answered, "That's right." Over the next few weeks, I got to really see what kind of a guy he was and decided that he would be a life long friend, above all else. I wasn't exactly attracted to him from the beginning, but his personality and caring demeanor drew me in closer and closer by each passing day. The little harmless flirting started and he made me promise him that I'd return his call if he paged me (Hey! We were both super cool. We had pagers, okay?! This was when it was a good thing!). So, a few days later on July 16, he paged me and I returned his call. I was trying to hint to him that I wanted to hang out, but quite frankly... he didn't get it. Until he blurted out, "So. Uhh, you wanna come see my dogs? They're really cool!" After 30-seconds of non-stop giggling from such a silly proposal I agreed. Everything started that very day. It was the best day of my life, to date. -Natosha
So, July 16, 2001 started their relationship... what's been going on since?
Well, we've since graduated high school and attended Western State College of Colorado. Greg with a degree in Business with an emphasis in Marketing and I with a degree in Psychology with a minor in English. Greg began at WSC in 2002 and I in 2003. The majority of our friends and family thinks that I followed him there, but alas! There is another story! My cousin, David, started at Western State College in 1999 when I started high school. I visited once and fell in love with the campus and because David was such a huge inspiration in my life I wanted to attend WSC from the second he started. Greg & I probably influenced each other's decision to attend the small college in Gunnison, CO and we're so glad it ended up working. College was a hard time for our relationship at the beginning because we were both on a mission to figure out who we were, let alone what role we played in each other's lives. Greg & I have been through each other's worst times and best times. Like every relationship, you only grow from triumph and struggle so we're thankful we've had the opportunity to do so early in our relationship.
We moved home from Gunnison, in June of 2007 after having the privelage of sharing our college graduation in May. Greg started his job hunt and finally got hired by Frontier Airlines. While he was in college he worked at the small private airport, learning the ins and outs of the business. I had my heart set on working for MAC Cosmetics when I returned back to our hometown. Knowing that a degree in Psychology would require more schooling, I wanted to persue my second passion: makeup. I know it sounds silly but you can literally change someone's entire confidence level by just showing them how to accentuate their best features. I plan to return to school on the graduate level when the time comes, but right now I'm having fun changing people's lives one lipstick at a time!
